James Weaver's Last Hurrah
According to a brief piece on DSC James has announced his retirement after the Laguna race. Despite his age, I must profess I am a bit shocked. He certainly hasn't shown any signs of slowing down, far from it. He's consistantly the fastest driver in the Dyson lineup (though Guy has given him a run at times this year) and brilliant at development and setup. Just like James to depart with no fanfare.
The sport has lost a true gentleman, whose combination of talent, wit, magnetic personality and pure class is almost unrivaled in motorsport. James, the ALMS paddock will miss pink t-shirts, shoes mismatched with socks, and worn-out orange driving gloves. Farewell! |
