Brazil GP will not meet all safety requirements

"Interlagos, the home of the Brazilian Grand Prix, has admitted that it will not be able to fulfil all the FIA safety requirements in time for the 2002 race, on 31 March. The municipal secretary of sport, Nádia Campeão, has stated that São Paulo City Hall will not meet all FIA requirements, in particular the replacement of gravel traps with asphalt run-offs."
