Gear Shift Ignition Cut

Hey all,
had a search of the web but haven't found a suitable item.
Std H-pattern shift in a Subaru WRX dogbox, want to add a sensor/switch to the gear lever to initiate an ignition cut (digital input to Motec controller) when weight is applied to the lever. Not fussed if we have to machine up something a bit special to get the required level of strain in the gear lever. The plan being to 'clutchless' shift the dogbox by leaning on the gear lever, with the ignition cut taking the load off the transmission for that split second.
Anyone know of such a switch or something that could be adapted ? All I could find worked for bikes.

Cheers.
