Bo’ness Revival Meeting , September 2010.
The third Revival Meeting at Bo’ness, in central Scotland, took place on 11th and 12th September.
An extension to the track used last year means that the course is now quite similar to the original configuration, which staged hill climb competitions up to 1966, and was for many years a round of the British Championship, from its beginning in 1947. Seventy-eight entrants competed in a diverse range of cars, the majority of which were to the organisers pre-1972 request, with a few more modern (1980s) cars added, in the invitation class. Several motorcycles also participated. Fastest competitor was Jock Ramsay in an Opel Manta (36.96 seconds), followed by last year’s winner, Andy Smith, Morgan +8 (37.01 seconds), with Chris Merrick , Hesketh Dastle Mk9 in third place (37.02 seconds) Cars pictured below : #17 Geoff Mansfield - Jaguar C Type #95 Derek Hastings - Porsche 928 #4 Jock MacKinnon - Bentley 3 Litre #75 Stephen Smith - Austin 7 Special #96 Christopher Kuhn - Dutton Phaeton #88 Richard Bishop-Miller - Cooper Mk2 |
