Confused hand signal

This was shown across the track at Thruxton at the weekend and I have no uses what it meant. Anyone else?

Vertical left hand, horizontal right hand moving into and away from left hand. All done at shoulder height.

As it was, we could see it was a full lift (and having heard that the rest if the cars suspension was at the Chicane, it was always going to be a full lift) and called it as such. But no-one on post with me knew what thus other signal was.

David,
Confused of Post 3.
