R1 2015 - Australia Results

A chaotic start to the season that has put the new rules through the wringer.

Starting with the Easy one, anyone who had Alonso as their driver received the Magnusson points...as it turns out no one has as yet, so lets move on.

Manor made it to Aus, but withdrew their cars as incomplete.
The rules just about cover this and penalise each Driver -22points and
constructor -10 points per car.

Bottas was withdrawn after Qualification due to injury, there is no driver
or team penalty - Qualification bonuses are kept.

With Bottas withdrawn, the grid spaces behind him were shuffled up one, and
it's these new positions that are used for the Gain/loss scoring.

Maldonado and Kvyat failed to make it to their grid slots prior to the 5 minute TV sting due to technical failures. These have been scored as Technical DNFs with Red Bull and McLaren both penalised -5 points.
There were no gain/loss points awarded .
For reference: Had they made it to the grid, and expired on the green flag lap, then they would have had gain/loss scored against them.

Maldonado's failure to finish was as a result of a Shunt.

Grosjean, Verstappen, and Raikkonen each failed to finish for technical reasons, and so -5 point penalties to Lotus, Toro Rosso and Ferrari.

I hope that covers it and so onto the scores.

Winning in Australia is Wolf GP with 101 points, second was last years top scorer in this race Foggy Notion just one point behind on 100pts. Completing the Aussie podium is Razzzor's Edge with 99pts

Lets hope it's as close as that all season.

Just the 2 tables to begin with this week and a reminder that you can still enter, Just pick your unique team staying within the rules and post it on the main thread page ahead of the start of FP1 to be scored from that round onwards.
