Would you envisage an equivalency aspect to get them all on similar pace?

Honestly it's not a realistic endeavor. Too much ego for both GP2 and F3.5 V8 sets to get them to come together on a formula. F3.5 V8 needs to become the premier European formula championship, and let the FOM set do whatever it is that they do. They should work with LMP2 to figure out way to open their technical regs under a cost cap. Get rid of the 3.5 part in the moniker and open it up to LMP2 V8's. Then they have Nissan, BMW, Judd, and Zytek in the fold, with Nissan and BMW having places to put drivers in, in exchange for some ad space/coverage. I believe Toyota also has an LMP2 V8 around, but I'm not sure. Honda has loads of them not being used.
