Fantasy F1 for 2016 Launch thread
Here are the rules for the 2016 season, please read them carefully as there are changes to team selections, points and penalties.
Teams: Your team shall be made up of 2 drivers, a constructor and power unit (PU) provider, from the table below. All 4 components of your team must not exceed the mandatory budget cap of 100,000. However, You must avoid the following real world scenarios Drivers who are team mates. A driver and their constructor. A driver and their PU provider A constructor and their PU provider Please submit your team in the fashion below including the cost of each component and the total value: Team Name: Driver 1: … (Highest Value) Driver 2: … (Lowest Value) Constructor: … (Value) Power Unit: … (Value) Total : … (Value) Remember each team must be unique, so please check to ensure someone else hasn’t already selected that combination. If you do submit a combination already selected you'll be asked to pick again. Entry: All entries to submitted to this thread. To be included for the full season, entry must be posted and confirmed before the start of Free Practice 1 of the first event.* Entries submitted after the start of FP1 of Event one, if within the rules, will be join the competition at the next event, along with any new entries. The deadline for any entry is always the start of FP1*. Scoring: The race points shall be awarded as follows, whereby a finish is considered to be classified in the official results even if the car doesn’t actually make the chequered flag. Driver’s points will be awarded as in previous seasons although bonuses and penalties have been tweaked, (see below) whilst the constructors and PUs will continue to use the points system introduced last season. The constructor’s race total shall be made up of the total score of both cars plus any bonuses and less any penalties. The PU provider’s race total shall be made up from the first two cars powered by it across the line regardless of constructor, plus any bonuses and less any penalties. For the purposes of scoring there are 5 different power units and will be described as per the valuation table Bonuses: There is a change to the Qualifying Bonuses this year. The late change in qualification sees a new points’ structure for those who reach Q3 Pole = 12pts, 2nd = 10pts, 3rd and 4th = 8pts 5th and 6th = 6pts 7th and 8th = 5pts Eliminated in Q2 = 3pts Should F1 decide to revert back to a Q3 of 10 runners, the following points contingency will take effect Driver: Pole = 12pts, 2nd 10pts 3rd to 6th = 7pts 7th to 10th =5pts Those eliminated in Q2 = 3pts Constructor and PU providers will work to the following new points system: Reaching Q3 = 1 point per car (to a max of 2 points for PU providers). Pole = 3 additional points. As last year, theses bonuses are purely based on times. Should a driver/car/power unit later be penalised by the stewards, the penalties will be applied as below. Drivers/cars who gain out of others misfortune do not gain points as a result. Changes to the race bonuses I have removed the lead a lap and most laps lead bonuses in an attempt to tighten up the scores should there be any runaway victories as last season. I have also removed the penalties for being lapped this season. There will only be one race bonus and that is 5pts to each of the driver, constructor and power unit provider for the fastest lap of the race. This season’s position gained/Lost rule remains as last year with +1 for every place gained and -1 for every place lost. As before the starting positions for this is the 5 minute TV sting. Stewards Decisions and Penalties: I have overhauled much of this due to the awful situation that last season found itself in regarding engine penalties and 70 place grid penalties etc.. Did Not Finish: This has not changed where DNF is recognised by “not classified” in the official results. A DNF caused by technical failure or team decision to park the car will see the constructor penalised 5 points. Accident or accident damage will not be penalised – subject to steward’s intervention. Penalties as a result of stewards decisions or infractions of the sporting or technical regs have been graded this season. Penalty of 1 -3 grid places (e.g. blocking in qually) Driver: 3 points penalty …. Constructor & PU : 2 points penalty. 4-5 grid places Driver: 5 points penalty … Constructor & PU :4 points 6-10 grid places Driver: 10 points penalty … Constructor & PU : 7points 11-20 grid places Driver: 15 points penalty … Constructor & PU : 10 points 21+ Grid places Driver: 20 Point penalty … Constructor & PU : 12 points Should the steward’s decision be that a Car starts from the pitlane; the number of places dropped from their qualification will be added, the minimum will be 3 and 2 points respectively for the driver and the constructor & PU for those on the final row of the grid. THe following change will be enforced at Race 10 Silverstone and for the remainder of the season. Should a team withdraw a car from parc ferme conditions and start from the pitlane, this will be adjudged as a self-inflicted grid drop, with the constructor and driver penalised the number of places from their qualifying position to final qualifier. with penalty points applied as laid out above. Should this be from one of the final 3 final qualifying positions on grid then a 3 point penalty and 2 point penalty applies to driver and constructor & PU respectively. There may be additional penalties applied (for example Gearbox) The higher value penalty will be enforced. Did Not Qualify but allowed to race remains as last season, a penalty of the total number of entries + 2 points. This results in a Driver Penalty of 24 points. And a new value of 12 points against the Constructor and PU provider Did Not Qualify and the stewards have not allowed the car to race will result in a 30 point Penalty against driver, and 15 point penalty against the constructor and power unit provider. Disqualification: Should a car be DSQ from the event prior to the race, all points earned up to that point including qualification bonuses will be voided, no car gains from this. If the DSQ occurs post-race, the official amended result will be the source used for scoring the event. The Disqualified car will face the same driver and constructor & PU provider points sanction as a DNQ and Not Allowed to Race. Replacements/Substitutions: Only drivers can be changed during the season. Should a driver be replaced the replacement driver will automatically be swapped into your team. Should this driver have driven for another constructor earlier in this season or now matches his real world constructor or PU - I’ll call this Force Majeure as unlike the subs, it’s not your choice. Should you not want the replacement driver, you can choose to make a tactical driver substitution. Should under the licence points system your driver be banned for a race or more the replacement driver will NOT score points in that/those race(s). Your team will be scored on the remaining Driver, constructor and power unit only. You can however choose to substitute the banned driver ahead of FP1 of the event(s) from which he is banned. A first change is Free, if you have already used this, as before additional changes cost 20 points each. Substitutions must be requested and confirmed in this main thread, before FP1 of the event to which it will apply.* Attendance A constructor’s attendance will be considered as being at the circuit with an assembled garage area at the start of FP1 of an Event. Non-attendance from the start of the season results in 0pts for the constructor and PU provider, and any drivers that have been named by the team. Once a constructor has attended an event, any further non-attendances will be considered as Didn’t Qualify and Not allowed to Race with the resultant penalties applied to Each Car. Withdrawn – Single Car Before FP1 begins: car is withdrawn is for political/budgetary purposes will be considered as Didn’t Qualify and Not allowed to Race with the resultant penalties After FP1 has started … Due to driver injury and no replacement available: there will be 0 points awarded to driver, constructor and PU provider. Due to insufficient time or parts to rebuild the car following an accident, then a DNQ allowed to race Penalty will apply, however if the incident happened during Q2, or Q3, any qualification bonus is kept . * If I am unable to confirm an Entry or Substitution for whatever reason ahead of FP1 starting. I will review the date stamp of the post and if within the rules will allow it. Should anything happen out with these rules, and if previous seasons are anything to go by, probably will, I will deal with as fairly as possible in consultation with my fellow Mods and Site Admins. OK here is the valuations of the Drivers, Constructors and PU Providers As always good luck to all who enter Last edited by ScotsBrutesFan; 6 Jul 2016 at 00:19. |
