2020 ELMS LMP2
Am wondering what will happen with the LMP2 class in the ELMS 2020?
If for Le Mans/WEC, with no P1 cars running, and an LMP2 already quicker than the 30 mark the ACO envisages for the Hypercars, which tends to say, the ACO will slow down the P2 cars, somehow. If they do the same in the ELMS with P2, what then becomes the situation with P3, which have got an engine upgrade of more BHP? Will they be much closer to the handicapped P2 cars if this happens? In which case, it would seem that in their rush to mandate Hypercars (of course the OEM sanctioning fees have nothing to do with that decision) , the ACO will succeed in screwing up something which is working perfectly now, LMP2. |
