Electric motorsport batteries appear to be quite tricky as the batteries are required to have an 80g crash rating.
The Formula E gen 3 with the WAE (Williams Advanced Engineering) 47kWh battery 9169MJ) race power of 402hp. Car weighs 760kg/ 1676lbs. Range is claimed as 59 miles/ 94km. Have to see how the Swedish touring cars position on the battery/ range/ performance etc matrix. |
