Race broadcast directing

In the old times of analog television and 14-inch screens, race broadcasts used close shots as often as possible.

Today with 50-inch TV sets, it seems that broadcast directors mandate wide shots even at race starts, to the point that I can-t even tell car colors apart. Please stop it!
