Nothing in any of the previous comments relating to driving standards or road conditions would not also apply to the UK. IMO.
Ok, we may not have quite so many unsurfaced minor roads, but give it a few months and a cold winter and we will probably catch up quickly. I was recently told that car manufacturers are surprised at the number of warranty claims they are dealing with for suspension bushing failure, suspension arm failure and non-warranty replacement of wheels and, more often, tyres with severe abnormal wear related issues. There are a few sections of road I use quite frequently where the pothole dodging game, even with constant refamiliarising use, is becoming impossible. Will they "fix" the holes during winter? Who knows? If they do - will they last until spring? Doubtful. |
