Cobra v. Ferrari
On BBC Four there has just been a program about the Shelby Cobras taking on Ferrari.
It included some great footage of early 60s Le Mans and also some great modern shots of 250GT0s, Cobras and Cobra Coupe (Coops!) at a test track. There were also some good interviews with lots of drivers/mechanics etc involved. However, if you didn't know you would have thought hat Cobra won the 1964 Le Mans race! It maddened me. Yes they beat the 250GTOs, but... The sound from some commentary was clearly doctored and interviews cut short. A few times they couldn't cut someone mentioning the word 'class' etc. Factually it was very misleading. A shame. I don't see why they had to pretend Cobra won, it wouldn't have made it any less of a story. Has anyone else out there seen this? Is it a repeat? |
