I made a reasonable start apart from correcting a slide and was gaining on you on the way to Curva Grande. I was wondering whether to have a stab, but thought better of it and tucked in behind. I find the best way to start is to spin up the wheels a little to get the revs up.

I held on quite well until 4 laps from the end where I came up on rd at Ascari and just lost it. These things happen though and it didn't affect my position.

My goal for the race was to finish within sight of the two speed demons and I was well on track (excuse the pun) to do that so I'm happy..
