Ron Dennis admitted in a press conference that he has been approached by Villeneuve and his people about driving for McLaren next year. Dennis replied that he would be remiss in his job if he did not consider every option but told them that no decision could possibly be made before 10 races into the season. Dennis also noted that he made this public in order to relieve the aggravation his drivers have been experiencing concerning the rumors floating about the paddock.
............................................. Mike Gascoyne is tipped to join Renault nee Bennetton next year and Sam Michael is most likely to replace Gascoyne as Technical Director at Jordan. ............................................. Frank Williams has admitted that despite Jenson Button's better than expected performance so far this season he still must fight to keep his seat from going to Juan Montoya. I personally think that Button's marketability in England alone is worth keeping him and his performance so far further advances his cause. ............................................. Ferrari and Shell Oil have extended their partnership until 2005. Rumors say that Shell has payed US$45 million a yar for the priviledge to grace the Ferrari. |
