New third driver rules a stage closer
www.worldrallynews.com are reporting that the FIA World Rally Championship Commission is believed to have put foward the rumored new driver nomination rules. These will permit each manufacturer to select two drivers freely, but specify that third drivers should not have finished in the top three on a World Championship rally in the past three years.
The proposal still has to be discussed by the FIA’s executive body, the World Council. Not having won a rally was bad enough, but not been in the top three !!!! Expect complaints from the French teams. |
