JERRY F. BOONE Jim McGee sat in the paddock at Sebring International Raceway in Florida, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of Champ Car racing. Under the nearby Visteon/Patrick Racing tent, a turbocharged Ford Cosworth V-8 grumbled to life, the engine settling down to a nearly deafening roar.
