Tomas Enge to Miss Milwaukee & Michigan

Apparently, he injured two vertabrae in the accident on Saturday...2 races will be missed...

Buddy Lazier is the prime candidate to replace Tomas Enge while he recuperates....

Bit of a shame really, but at least they have a good driver to come in for him. I know there had been talk of Panther running 3 cars for those races, but I guess that will no longer happen unless someone else comes along with the money to pay for the drives - otherwise it makes most sense to focus on the main 2 entries form Scheckter and Lazier, either of whom can shock the big boys right now.

It's not as though Enge's only doing the IRL though at the moment. Does anyone know if he was due to compete in any sportscar races during this period?

It's very unfortunate. Hope Enge makes a full recovery...typical, just as the car was finally competitive!

Actually Buddy is not a replacement, since he already run at Nashville; he was meant to be panther's 3rd driver.

He was meant to be Panther's 3rd driver in the 2nd race coming up, but in the first race coming up, Panther were only running 2 cars, so he will be a replacement there.

Townsend Bell will probably run the #2 car at Michigan, as of right now.

Damnit. Good for Townsend, but bad, because I wanted Adrian Fernandez

Nice to see Townsend back out there, he impressed a lot last year and was unlucky to lose this ride in the first place.

Oh, no! Sad to see Enge out when his car started to show his real potential.
Towsend, it's your time.

Townsend Bell did a great job last year. He even finished ahead of Scheckter in several races. A well deserved job for Bell.

Is there a Mrs Enge and what does she think about this threesome with two beauty queens?

Anyway. A big shame. I am a Enge fan and was looking forward to seeing him race more. Like others here I do suspect Bell will go well.
