ATF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2005 Review DVD

Has anyone got it? I really want to know what the coverage is like.

When ITV showed an hour-long show with 1 live race, the coverage for races 1 and 2 was so brief and badly edited. Is this the same case on the DVD?

It was released on Monday (21st Nov) but I'm trying to wait til xmas to get it, although it's tempting to buy it!

I might get it, although I only went to one race this season, I usually get it.

I've been wondering whether to get it too. I'd also be grateful for an opinion!

I hate the fact that the motorsport DVD's are so skimpy on Extras.....

I mean, why not chuck in as much as possible....a whole race viewed from a mix of on-board cameras? Yes please!
Outtakes of the presenters pieces to camera...why not? Adds a human touch and are usually hilarious....
A Random "classic" BTCC race from the archives....who'd say no?
And a few easter eggs for us clever ones to find and enjoy....

I'd love something more than just a vanilla review of the season.....but sadly it's a blinkered "get it done, get it out" attitude these days, no time for any extras, just copy+paste the TV coverage on to a DVD, plop on a cover, and away we go.....

F1's the same, nothing new we hadn't seen over the year......shame

That said, I'll still probably get this when I'm back from UNI and I know what my money situation is.....but It doesn't stop me from moaning about what "might have been"

It is very poor - but it is because the DVD isn't made by the same people that make the TV coverage, so they don't have access to anything which isn't shown on TV.

You want to see the 2002 Formula Ford Review DVD - it was on two discs, and for the final race of the season there was a multiscreen on-board version as well as the original race.

Sounds fabulous......if only you could buy them in the "real" world!

That one was available in the real world, although I think it was aorund £40.
It seemed to have a limited production run and when they sold out no more were produced.

I leant my copy to someone and they never gave it back - and now I can't even remember who I leant it to.

I've never seen a F Ford DVD of any year since then - but then, for at least one year since then they never had any TV coverage.

I agree that if from a DVD review you want the pitlane gossip and extra features, this is not what you're looking for, but if you just want the highlights of a great championship, like me, then you will be satisfied. Each of the 30 races is covered in depth and shows the main action, so I'm happy with it! I heard all the pitlane banter during the season, I don't really need to hear it all again.
