Nope, not mandatory. GPR built the Proton, Toyota and Audis so it's probably part of GPR's "design"

Nice interview with John Thorne on the Autosport site.

- Two more cars being built
- TOCA engine for this weekend but new in-house engines built for next year
- Can build cars for other teams like GPR did, either fabricating the race shell or turn key cars

There's the potential for them to build Opel versions for the Scandawegian series as well. Fair play to them.

Does anyone have the specific wording of the technical regs to confirm side exit exhaust legality. I have found nothing that states mandatory, but more than one source gives the following detail:

'Bodyshell:
- Side exhaust permitted '
