World Street Circuits + Requests Welcome
Hi, everyone,
I thought I'd make a new thread displaying only my street circuits. As the other thread wasn't getting much action and displayed all my tracks, I decided to make a new thread. I would appreciate it if the mods didn't merge this with the other thread, as this is a strategic move. Also, I'm taking requests. That means that if anyone wants a street circuit done in their hometown or anywhere they choose, I'll do my best to find the time to create a circuit for you. However, it is guaranteed that it will eventually get done, just not within the day. All circuits will be done on G-MAP pedometer, as they have a really good terrain tool and precise measuring. So, I'll start out with my two most popular street circuits, which have also been showcased on my other thread... the Rio de Janeiro Street Circuit and Sydney International Street Circuit. Rio de Janeiro Street Circuit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 3.707 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5581682 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 This track is using the downtown section of Rio de Janeiro as its playground. The layout has been altered slightly, so it deserves a new post. Avoiding a very narrow road, the new route goes down Avenida Republica do Chile instead of Evaristo Veiga. The elevation change is relatively low in the first half of the track, but picks up a little bit through the second half. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 Sydney International Street Circuit Sydney, Australia 3.412 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5581709 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 The famous Sydney circuit! Big elevation changes and a whole lot of fun! By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-27 That's it for now. I'll have an update for a track in Shanghai in the Expo 2010 area tomorrow. Remember, send me some requests, because I'll be happy to do them for you! |

Shanghai Exposition Circuit
Shanghai, China 3.632 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5582975 Uploaded with ImageShack.us Folks, I've created an all new street circuit. I've been dying to do one in China, specifically in Shanghai, and what a better place than Expo Park in Shanghai that hosted the 2010 World Expo? Plenty of seating opportunities, night lights, beautiful architecture and wide roads are perfect for street racing! Please comment, because I'd like to know what you think. The third addition to this thread has arrived! Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Cape Town Waterfront Circuit
Cape Town, South Africa 3.684 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5584994 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-29 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-29 Definitely the most developed country in Africa, South Africa is definitely the place to host a race in the big continent. And what better place to do that than in Cape Town, South Africa, home of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, possible 2014 Formula 1 Circuit, and now one of the most challenging temporary street courses on the planet. With extremely narrow areas and tight, fast corners with obstacles flying dangerously past, the track's motto appropriately states "no guts... no glory". The Cape Town Waterfront Circuit is one of the wildest: picturesque, dangerous, narrow, bumpy, tight, challenging, lengthy... and fun! Notes as far as the race track goes is that the risen sections just beyond the 1 mile mark have been flattened for widening purposes, the turn from Portswood Road onto Helen Suzman Blvd has been widened and the dirt triangle has disappeared, the separating ruts on Main Weg, Main Road, Somerset Road, and Riebeek Straat have been flattened for widening purposes, and the final corner has been widened slightly. Guatemala City Street Circuit
Guatemala City, Guatemala 3.189 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5585091 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-29 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-29 I thought I'd do another one in Guatemala in the most happening part of the country! Decent length straights and a plethora of passing opportunities make this a really fun track to race. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-29 |

This is the 6th street circuit I've done. How do you like it? |

I've spent three hours designing tracks today, and here's the four I've came up with.
Auckland Street Circuit Auckland, New Zealand 4.161 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5588542 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 This is my personal favorite. Fast, flowing, challenging, long, plenty of run-off area, and picturesque. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 Baku Street Circuit Baku, Azerbaijan 3.255 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5588636 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 Just an oddball track I'd like to throw in there. Got the idea from the GT3 bid to race in the streets of Baku, so I decided to modify it a bit. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 San Diego Street Circuit San Diego, United States 3.540 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5588651 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 One of the most lovely cities in the USA, in my opinion (I have been 9 times). Great people, as well, and huge motorsports fans! The San Diego Street Circuit is a fast and challenging one. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 Ontario International Street Circuit Toronto, Canada 3.581 miles By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 I lost the G-MAP pedometer version of this, but I still managed to capture the pictures. By beetlejuice21 at 2012-07-31 So, what are your thoughts? Come on, I need some responses! |

Naples Street Circuit
Naples, Italy 3.439 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5614266 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-08-15 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-08-15 A picturesque racetrack by the coast of an even more stunning city... Naples. G-MAP's elevation thing went crazy when I tried to read it, so I didn't post it. |

West Berlin Street Circuit
Berlin, Germany 3.525 miles http://www.gmap-pedometer.com?r=5642448 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-09-01 By beetlejuice21 at 2012-09-01 Devoid of any depressing, white, WWII buildings, West Berlin is a high-tech paradise filled with wide streets, happy people, modern architecture, and, of course, the "tech park" which is Potsdamer Platz. Utilizing almost all of West Berlin, including Großer Tiergarten, Potsdamer Platz, the German House of Parliament, the river, and part of the old town, this track is highly diverse and very challenging, with two high speed straights. I have a request
Hi Beetle,
I really like what you have done with this thread. Some of the circuits look very cool and fun to drive. I'm not sure how active you are with this sort of thing seen as you haven't posted in this thread in a while, but I have a suggestion that may interest you. I would love to see a street circuit in downtown Atlanta, Georgia (United States), maybe near Centennial Olympic Park and the Georgia Aquarium. I live not far away, so I think it would be really cool to see if the area offers any decent challenge to racing drivers. That would look really cool as a night race as well. |

If you want you can check out my thread "My Street Circuit Compilation", as I recently made a street course there. I've also made a street course in both Warsaw and the city of Szczecin in north west Poland, which I shall put up on my thread also.
