The 88 was in the wrong and paid the price. The move you talk about happens every day in racing hundreds of times all over the world in racing every weekend. It is as common as a penalty in a game of rugby. Chaz put himself in that position and paid the price. He had a win sitting in his hand. Heads up, Chaz has done the same move many times over the years.

For cars with safety at the level of Supercars, Carrera Cup etc no changes are required. I’d fully agree with changes for historic or club racing. |

Could be - amazed that someone amongst the Supercars Motorsport crew didn't pick it up either, you'd think they'd be more on top of something as basic as this one.

Given that there is a fair bit of animosity towards Grove Racing after it grassed other teams at the Gold Coast, if it had it would have gotten out. Supercars, more specifically its head medico Carl Le, would have seen the independent medical report/s before sanctioning the substitutions.

He was leading the race, the other idiot was nowhere. He didn't have to race that hard. Everytime I raced it was never the responsibility of the leader to get out of the way, the responsibility sits with the overtaker. Idiot didn't take care. For me, it was a deliberate move encouraged by Red Bull

His team told him to move aside. He looked like he went wide to allow Broc through, but then turned down, and Broc only narrowly caught his rear bumper. Chaz admitted he was undecided and that he had no right hand mirror and misjudged where Broc was. It takes two to crash. Sent from my SM-S908E using Tapatalk |

If there was a tyre bundle bolted to that Chicane, Chaz would have known very early he wouldn't be able to clear Feeney from the start and would be looking to get in behind him. Like most of the other cars in the field did. I don't like drivers gaining position cutting the chicanes because they can't get on the racing line. I'm not the only one who doesn't like that rule. or lack of a rule. You can't do it for the whole race, so why lap one.

Thanks. I don't agree with that ruling, I didn't think 25 had gained enough to expect the poll car to give way to him. So, if P2 can manage to stay beside P1 then P1 has to give away his advantage? I will start P2 every time thank you. If P2 can pull half a car on P1 from the start, then fair enough, I don't think Chaz did. If there was a wall or tyre bundle Chaz wouldn't of stayed where he was, he would have looked to get in behind 88 off the start as fast as he could. As they do at some of the tracks where staying out of the train can see you moving to the back pretty fast. How many of the even numbered starting cars run through the chicane like Chaz did? Most had gotten into the train by turn 1.
