Fisi to test for Ferrari in 2005?
According to news stories, Fisi is a step closer to achieving his dream to drive for Ferrari, as a test driver.
http://www.itv-f1.com/news/news_story/19200 What do you think? Seems a bit funny to me, as I think that he wouldn't get a full-time driving role with all the youngsters about! |

Sounds like either a response to a repetitive question or a carrot being dangled to me.
Fisi is'nt silly though. He knows Ferrari think highly of Massa, and are grooming him for the future. His plan is to leave Massa in his wake and give Ferrari a moment of pause. Now lets hope it works. |

Fisi at Ferrari would be really great. Just the kind of chance he deserves after a career full of bad cars.

He needs to set himself up at Ferrari so he's conveniently sat there when Schumi leaves in a couple of years.

Hmm, news about tests for 2005! ITV must be really bored.
Anyway, just you wait when Inigo sees that! |

I can't find any 2005 in that story - the F1 Live story says that they are talking about next year - as far as I know next year is 2004.

The article doesn't really say anything about a specific timeline. It says, "Sauber insisted discussions had not taken place but said the Italian could test drive for the Prancing Horse in the future".
That's pretty vague as to when it might happen. Fisi had a pretty terrible year at Jordan. I know his car was terrible, but he still failed to impress, often falling behind Firman. I think he needs to have a very good year at Sauber to get his shot at Ferrari. |

Please let this happen!
After all this doom-and-gloom talk of Baumgartner signing for Minardi, this is great news!
I really hope Fisichella will one day race for Ferrari, he deserves it. Massa is definitely a talent too. Let's hope we can have a Fisichella/Massa pairing at Ferrari within the next few years BTW, didn't realise Fisi had tested for Ferrari before, in '96. Anyone got any pics of this? |

It would be my dream come true, but ain't gonna happen. Alonso and Massa are the Ferrari pairing of the future, and Fisi is too good to be a mere tester. Look for Fisi to go to Williams.

Frank was never happy to pay wages, especially huge ones. Just ask Montoya. (or Hill). However, offering him a drive for reasonable wages, now that's worth discussing...

He accepted a significant reduction to get the seat at Sauber, and told several times that he would accept to drive for free if they gave him a shot at Ferrari. Thus he is not an economically problematic bloke, and Frankie could easily find a salary agreement with him. |
