When was the last time a McLaren failed to qualify in the first three rows?

How the "drid" has changed in the last couple of seasons!

Thanks WREX. And to think that Damon was able to put his car on the front row for an entire season, and nobody gives him any credit for that. We have excuses like "oh!! It is easy to qualify, but it's different to race or win," or "he had a superior car", and stuff like that. Maybe someone can tell me now how lousy the McLaren is this year.

Indeed he was, one of the most underrated drivers ever.
This statistic means that the McLarens have now done the worst qualifying performance (team-wise) since their return as a frequent race winning team. They're not done for yet this weekend though: 1st and 2nd in the morning warm-up, and their poor qualifying performance yesterday was down to a bad set-up causing balance problems and oversteer. |

It seems quite strange that Mclaren got the setups so wrong on both the cars. The 1-2 in warm up suggests that they've got it sorted though. All signs point to this being a great race!!

You said it. Pity Mika had a lunch control instead of a launch control. |
