I hope Spengler doesn't became an innocent victim or casualty as others drivers try to prove they could outdrive/outrace Bruno, but not succeeding and taking him out instead.

Well, I'll be cheering for Mike Rockenfeller this year. I've followed him a lot when he was driving endurance, and I really became a fan of his style and talent. And on top of that it's a extremely nice guy, extremely down to earth and nice to talk to. So go Mike!

There will be a DTM-preview on Mattias Ekstrom's site this week. Before that he has published a STCC-preview to be found here: http://www.mattiasekstrom.com/viewpa...?node=9&ID=584

Audi have tabbed Marco Werner to fill in for Premat until he recovers.

A somewhat boring choice I think. They would have been better nabbing McNish (who did best of the current ALMS boys in DTM), or they should have taken someone like Prost, Mansell or perhaps Kenny Bräck and attracted some major PR instead.

I guess they're hoping he could do a better job than the other guys? Prost/Mansel/Kenny Brack would generate PR, but could they help Audi's championship aspirations?

Don't forget Vanina Ickx

It's a shame they put not a young talent in the car.

Yeah, either you grab a PR driver, or someone who can do a sterling job. Werner is kind of neither I feel.

It's a cheap solution. Also the other alms drivers did race in dtm. McNish in 2005, Biela and Pirro in 2004 and Capello also in 2005. But nobody couldn't make a good job. Biela and Capello didn't collect ONE point. That's a shame for these brilliant prototype drivers! I think it is good idea to give werner this chance.

I expected them to choose Kaffer, Stippler or Bjork. Perhaps Terting.

I guess they're going to find out how good he is. Perhaps he will suprise everyone and do a good job?

Yes, his ALMS buddies McNish (fine, he didn't embarass himself), Capello and Biela all showed how great sportscar drivers work in this series

Kaffer is starting in the Porsche Carrera Cup next weekend. Stippler and Bjork in STCC. Terting is working for ABT Sportsline at the moment. He makes the roll outs for the DTM cars.

If Abt quits racing, Terting gets his seat? It would not surprise me.

Yes because Terting worked by ABT as mechanic before he raced in the DTM for ABT. He also made his apprenticeship by ABT. Also his father works for ABT Sportsline.

According to dtm.com it's not Werner but Frank Biela who will replace TK in Oschersleben.

Werner is the replacement for Premat ... so Kristensen is out now as well ... shame, but better out one round than coming back too soon and risk a lot more.
