Reasonably happy with the new carpack, though still at a loss to explain quite why the Drayson Vantage hasn't made an appearance yet.
Will be interesting to see what's included next month. Hopefully we'll have a new track pack to get all excited about in the near future. Paul Ricard anyone? Oh and as an aside, TORA will have some HUGE news in May so have a looksee over the coming weeks. |

Is this to do with the ''expansion'' series?

I bought the May car pack last week and was pretty impressed at some of the content. The Radical SR8 is a bargain R2 rocket and the Mosler is setting some excellent leaderboard times.

I just want to give TORA a little mention here. They recently gained official MSA recognition as an MSA recognised club and have plenty of great championships starting soon. Any members here who are active on forza should give it a little look.

Is TORA one of those where you have to change your username (TORA Knowlesy) to look cool and hip?

TORA would be a lot better if they used a game that supports more than 8 people in a room....

Nope, infact, nobody on TORA has TORA in their name.

Tis true. I think the name changing is merely for tuner groups and teams. Personally I'd not ask any of my drivers to change their tag to THR. 800MSP for that just isn't worth it!!
While I agree rFactor does offer more in terms of numbers, we can make up for that and also with everyone running the SAME spec platform i.e console we assure that everyone has a fair playing field. Why should people shell out hundreds of pounds plus for a rig that can show off rFactor in its best light when you can get the same graphical level for a small percentage of that? |

The only problem is that some of the better physics based elements of PC sims is sacrificed in a shiny racer. I like to think of forza as a ''rounded-off'' sim.
I just wish it had some of the brutality of driving a race car that makes RACE Pro so attractive. And to an extent, NFS Shift, but thats purely sound related |

the control aspects are what annoy me most. steering is weird and i can't find a way to turn off the "power steering" effect you get at certain locks / speed. it makes controlling the car with a wheel really hard when it starts to slide, as at a certain point a little wheel turn becomes a massive lock in game. i know its a stick / pad related thing but if you can't turn it off it makes driving very disappointing. GT4 was far better in that respect, as are any PC-based games.

I agree nicky, NFS is VERY good with the sound.... but not much more.
Forza offers all the immersion but they can never make them too 'simmy' otherwise they wouldn't sell as many copies for people going oh ffs it's just too hard. One of the MOST frustrating aspects of console gaming. |

Forza is great, its fun to play and has solid online playability. I just wish it featured some of the brutality and immersion of some other games.
