Entry lists on MGCC web site look good, not many inthe BCV8s but about 18-20 in all the rest

Weather could be a bit iffy though, a bit of with the threat of heavy thundery showers

Thats great, thanks Richard. Yes, could be the first wet meeting for a long time...

My tickets haven't come through for this one, volunteered for incident. Any chance a spare could be left on the gate for me please?

Cheers

Correct me if I am wrong but is sounds too me that you want it to rain.

Maybe a timetable change on this one.
The on-line timetable has different times to what was sent with tickets.

Also I work with Simon White (52 in Metro race) and they have been given a second race which isn't in the timetable currently.

Hope for a good days racing and that the weather is kind to us all.

thats a fairly normal occurrence, we'll just wait 'n' see what gets released next! Weather is not looking hopeful, did MG build an Ark?

Please pass on thanks

Hi

Please pass on my thanks to all who assisted me yesterday. I had an off at druids in practice resulting me skidding on my side. The response was textbook and was of the highest standard.

If anyone can tell me what happened, i would love to know!

Also if anyone knows if there were any photos taken also i would like to see them!

Congratulations also to Russell for a difficult first race in testing conditions.

Regards

Hi,

I was the IO on the post and and was taking to you in the car, as IO I thanked the team I was working with after the clear up and I will pass on your thanks if I see any of the guys and girls next week. Some of them came to check you and turn off electrics some signalled to slow the cars down once the red flags were out (as you had blocked most of the track) and some provided fire cover while the doctor checked you out.

It all happened very quick and I thought you were going to end up upside down, until something griped and slammed you back on the wheels. Initially we did not see much movement in the car but I was glad you stayed in there until everything was stopped, so thanks for that! (Nothing worse than a car blocking the track and a driver wondering around)

We were all happy to see you out later in the day.

Someone held up a number 3 board at me at Lakeside, not sure if it was green flag lap or not?
Who was it?

FAO Danny

Well done for getting out for your second race, and thanks for taking the time to post on here. I was one of the marshals jumping up and down warning everyone what was round the corner (always wanted to have a go at directing traffic!) just glad you were ok, you left a lovely green mark on the track btw

Indeed a day up to the expected standards of the MGCC, Some very close racing and good grids

A very quiet day at Lodge, but great team and several humerous moments

Glad all the drivers involved in incidents are Ok and thanks for posting on here I had a look at the Midget at Lunchtime and was glaad to see not much damage

I too had a great day out on the bank on my first proper day of marshalling... I can see how it becomes addictive! Thanks to all at Knickerbrook for making it a great, if surprisingly quiet day. I am still finding my feet and so was standing quietly on my own at the end of day drinks, but I am still enjoying it and looking forward to next weekend.

Oh, and thanks to the MGCC who looked after the marshals well.

Quiet for everybody except me, I think! My log shows that I made 51 calls to Race Control reporting 59 incidents, 40 of which were "straight on at chicane"!

Haha, yes I did notice that. Jeanette said that you would have had a very busy day with those calls... Race control must have got sick of you ringing in...I bet they ended up guessing what your calls were about!

Quiet at Shell until the last race. Thanks, Gravel Monkey! Before the start of the last race he said he wanted a big incident to end the day. Two car collide with one ending in the barrier. Safety car, rescue, fire truck, doctor. Beware the Monkey...he has a powerful magnet.

Entertaining racing as ever from the MGCC and fairly quiet at Old Hall. I even managed to avoid the camera and win a little something in the raffle. Thanks for the welcome folks, I'll be back when I can.

there were a lot of tickets, not sure if they kept them or not. my highlight of the day was in race control after racing had finished when i asked for lager and was promptly asked if i was 18 happiest bloke alive at that point, so much so i thanked the lady and shook her hand!

some excellent racing as always with MGCC. Congrats to Mr Hunter for finishing his first ever race with no incidents & Paul Luti for getting the car home in 2nd even with no clutch.
