Anyone know if there will be FM radio broadcast of the commentary at the track? Radio Le Mans or otherwise?

Download them while you can, because once NASCAR gets a hold of them, I bet they will be gone.

I'm not so sure. I've seen plenty of very recent NASCAR races getting uploaded unofficially to YouTube, and they're still on there.
F1 on the other hand, that's an entirely different story. Regardless, I have been collecting those ALMS broadcasts. |

Also think NASCAR, unlike FOM, understands that leaving them on Youtube doesn't cost them anything and earns them points with fans and potentially new fans. And everything that's done this year in both series is most likely discussed and considered by both sides beforehand. And both series are adding their races to free online access in the current season so why would old races be dropped?

NASCAR tried to get a personal video deleted off you-tube of a tire in the stands at the Nationawide Daytona race even though the footage was taken by a fan in the stands. So for example, they might want to delete the 2011 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans because they had such incredible grids and fast exotic cars that anything else is going to look bad by comparison. |

For the Long Beach race there was a live radio feed on the ALMS website in addition to live timing & scoring. I assume it was the audio feed for the TV coverage since it was Jeremy Shaw, Greg Creamer and the pit reporters.

Hopefully that isn't full season. Not a big fan of JH but Greg Creamer just didn't work.

TRG could do with a sponsor to make good on their intent to race in GTE with Aston.
Ignorance. |

So many teams over the years have had big announcements and press releases that came to nothing or caused less of an impact than intended over the years, I'm just really glad to see the CORE car arrive when it was supposed to, with the pro team it was supposed to have. |

Tom Kimber-Smith and The Amateur had a bit of a feud last year.
It might be interesting to see what will happen now that Cosmo is in the Prototype and Kimber-Smith is in the GT! |

It's nice they're uploading old stuff.
Then partially they have ridiculously bad video editing, sound quality, ads left in, an hour simply missing from the '04 Laguna Seca race etc. And finally, they hide behind google+ and facebook. No, Sir, I do NOT want to create an account on two of the proven world leaders of breaching privacy, data-mining in your personal data, ruthlessly sharing and re-selling the computed personal ad preferences etc. I just wanna write you an email about the things you were/are doing great and the things you aren't. Sadly I have to use facebook to comment ALMS news; or a google+ signup to post a comment on youtu.be, or send ALMSOfficialVideos a message. Anybody ever had the nerve to continue navigating the ALMS site until a contact email emerged? (people don't seem to do this nowadays. It's a bit strange for me, being german, where by law you are required to have a point of contact that ultimately resolves to a human being; by telephone, address and email; signing up for a death cult first to contact somebody would be deemed inappropriate and inacceptable) Mind sharing it? Alternatively, if you've joined one of the death cults, feel free to ask AOV on the tube what happened to 1h16 min to go until 19 min to go timeframe. Last edited by Ephaeton; 7 May 2013 at 17:08. |

I find it somewhat entertaining that a series that didn't care so much about it's history, providing yearbooks, access to prior races etc., suddenly does so in it's final year, when it is history itself.
