The people who say he doesn't deserve/isn't ready for the RBR seat. Ricciardo didn't look half as special as Kvyat does now but got an RBR drive. And after that success, the fact people say he's not ready is just madness.

Great job by Kvyat. I think Red Bull have two very good drivers next year.

Good to see Button follow through on McLaren's promise this weekend. Bottas was fantastic too and so close, but what an effort.

Rosberg just wasn't in touch with Hamilton all session. Entertaining qualifying session.

Button sounded incredibly negative and downbeat in his post qualifying interview despite achieving an excellent 4th on the grid. It was always looking likely after Kevins stronger performances over the course of the season but Im guessing he has now been told that he will not be driving for Mac next year.

Just finished watching qualifying and I quite like the track. Too bad the Mercedes are so far in front. Interesting that Martin said Ricciardo has now out qualified Vetted this year. I wonder what he would have done in the Torro Rosso as it looked the better Red Bull car.

Quite extraordinary that, yes – sounded like a man who'd just lost a tenner and found a tanner (one for our older readers, that...). But I really can't believe that even The Ron would chose this moment to tell him the bad news. Let's hope he can hang on to the top three tomorrow – maybe even get a podium.

I agree. Nowhere near as dire as Valencia. The novelty may wear off, of course......

Alonso, Ricciardo and Vettel all underachieved, to add to the madness of the silly season. Awesome Q3...
Certain front row? I think Colin Chapman may have something to say about that...!

There really is no right moment to tell a driver news like that. I mean if Ron left it till the end of the season it would severely ruin Jensons chances of finding a seat for 2015. We'll find out when they are ready to tell us I guess.

Anybody notice how Kimi seems to have found more pace relative to Alonso recently, nothing to do with Alonso leaving I assume.

So, they indeed have added the sausages at Turn 2. We'll see how this goes on the start.

Also, pit lane speed limit is reduced from 80-kph to 60-kph.

The Sausages did nothing to stop track limit abuse in GP2. Those guys spent more time off track than on.

Kvyat beats the mother team Red Bull's in a Toro Rosso. I wonder if he could also maintain such superiority in race. That would be quite an achievement.

He was doing the same thing during the Austrian GP before his suspension failed.

Rosberg has a massive lock up and gets ahead of Lewis but runs wide. He's off to the pits, having flat spotted his tyres.

Have to admit I thought Hamilton was the more likely to make mistakes as the pressure mounted but that's not how it seems to be panning out.

Still no safetycar, despite everybody's expectations. That a bit of a bummer, since I want to use the first one to make myself a sandwich. I'm starting to get hungry now.
On a less personal note, I think a lot of teams could use a safetycar to, seeing the graph with fuelusage, on average they use about 2,5l/lap, wich would bring them only to lap 40. Will usage drop so dramatically when the weight burns of, or is some serious fuelsaving needed?

Oh never mind, i got my kilo's and liters confused.
