Mum,s the word on tee vee can,t do that until the inks dry.
F3 will be a part of the deal.
What a great idea about the boxed DVD,s for all categories.
How much would be a fair price to pay for 8x1 hour programs?

Having Previously worked in the home entertainment industry - I reckon 8 x 1 hour programs on DVD would fetch a little bit more than 50 bucks Pete

Ross - seeing as you do your production in house - whilse 1 hour episodes would be great - and $50 would be a reasonable price for this - why not go that one step further and make it simply a DVD per season.

Do it that way yourselves - you would have access to other material not broadcast (how much gets thrown 'on the cutting room floor??) and even, wait for it, you MUST have the stuff ups they do when doing their interviews, promos, specials/features.*

And I am sure that you could even tie in some dedicated timing/stats information* onto the DVD (that's the beauty of DVD's - the amount of extra's you could include - for example...take the Brutes at Wakefield last year when - and I don't recall who it was - went off at the end of the main straight.

DVD's have a facility that only music DVD's have so far exploited - multiple camera angles...*

Concepts copyright RaceTime - I'm willing to work and offer suggestions

Is this advertising problem in every state or just 1 or 2? Most people are sick of watching the same adds over and over again anyway. Its good that the adds are all motorsport related but why can't they put more than 6 varieties on??

Nandi Kiss

Back to TV coverage....

Ross - thanks for coming on here and setting us (read:me) straight. It's great news, but you may want to get in touch with the competitors, as I know of at least 2 who were under the impression that there was no TV. I've directed them both to check this out, but obviously a post in a forum does not make it bonifide fact. (A certain post last year regarding Procar's employees is a good example.)

I can't fathom why they didn't confirm with Procar, as this would make a substantial difference to their sponsors, and the value of their signage.

And try & get the DVD's out on the market before the beginning of December, right in time for the wives Christmas shopping for us (I know this may cause some production heartaches, but a lot of the earlier rounds could be prepared soon after they are run).

The issue is a large one. If the series doesnt attract demographics other than the standard 25-39 male with limited female gender market penetration, the same old advertisers will rehash the same old ads over and over and over and over and over....

And from what I understand, there is a discernable problem in different states at different times. Which suggests casual viewing as opposed to diehard viewing, which is also a worry by itself.

Anybody notice that the usual band of sponsors were on the Eastern Creek replay today.

From what I understand, this replay is more than likely to have constituted one of the reparation advertisements to get the tarp levels where they were promised....
