You can use any equipment you want to (this is fantasy, after all!) but you won't get any points at the end of the season for anything not actually on the grid.

Strange Grand Prix Press Release
As of now the Strange Grand Prix website is online. Info about the drivers, cars, livery and sponsors can be found on the site. Within a few days the new car livery can also be seen via the website. #End of Press Release# (God, aren't we taking this too serious?  )
