Apologies for missing you guys. I understand a few of you were asking after me in the pit lane on Saturday? I did wander round the paddock today but didn't see any of you in the very short lunch break we had . I was on post 7 (bottom of Graham Hill on the right hand side) and thought you had a couple of pretty good races!

Louis, Luke won the 2nd, i was 2nd but was given a 10sec penalty for gaining my grid pos back after stalling on the green flag! Anderson was therefore 2nd then Alistair Goss then me.

Good weekend, shame about the smash on Sunday though, hope the damage isnt too bad.

Sorry Stephen I didnt get to say hello, waved a couple of times in your general direction.

John Lord always goes well at Brands, but some were suprised with his pole on Sat. Some were moaning about the timing methods used and questioned whether the transponders were used or not.

Shame about your weekend DaveC especially after the hard work you put in

The new chap in car 42 (David Hodgson)did go very well. Gary was looking after him for the weekend and was very impressed. He stalled on the start of race 2 and dropped back a bit (13th possibly?). I started 7th and lost out to John Lord and then David came flying past, so fast in fact I thought he was one of the leaders, but then realised it was too early for them to start lapping. He went on to do well.

My Sat race was EXCELLENT fun. Having attempted to qualify with new carbs that ran ok in the paddock but once up to pace threw too much fuel into the engine and bogged the car down, I did my 3 laps at walking pace and started from the back.

Went from 28th to 7th overall and 6th in class, and according to the sheets afterwards, I was lapping much quicker than 6th and 5th overall which I was pleased with.

Sundays race I was all on my own really. I was quite a bit faster than the peeps behind and alot slower than the front runners, so had my own free space to play in, apart from the back markers who as usual didnt get out the way.... but then again lack of blue flags did play a role. Started 7th and finished 7th, so wasnt bad in the end.

Roll on Cadwell. Havent been there yet, so should be fun.

....im pretty sure there was something up with the timing at brands. Andrew Cowell was given a time on saturday but he wasnt even at the track!! We actually forgot about our transponder all saturday and only put it on on sunday. I aparently did a 46.7 i think on sat, but i was struggling and according to my stack didnt get into the 46's! Also, John Lord was 2.5secs slower on sun that sat. Something was wrong me thinks!!

I know that at some stage there was a problem with the time keeping. We (marshals) did have a laugh once or twice as we saw the same number car running in two seperate postions on the scoreboard.

Pole was 46.66 - I ran 47.1 in the first race, so it might have been real!

Marblerun, I tried to find you before I went. Congrats on the sunday race, you pulled a massive margin on me from the grid and left me all on my own.

34 in class B. Jonathan - I was in the bar. I made the same mistake as you and let Hodgson through and was suprised when I caught him up again!

Well done for keeping up with him. I felt my lap times fell off towards the end as through druids I couldnt turn in without bags of understeer and clearways was pretty much the same. Either I was going in too fast or my tyres were going off. Ho hum..

it's just a thought but does anyone know how compatable the new and the old type of cbr 600's are? eg can i put my ported head on the new type bottom end? it's just a thought as obviously being a fatty i'm well over the wieght limit and these new motors are quite abit quicker....might give me usefull advantage....?!?

....john, i was just trying to make sense of why there were some mistakes in the timing!! Im certain I was slower than my time given to me in qualifying!! You were certainly quicker than me on sunday. Were you definetly slower on sun or could you maybe have been given a slower time than you actually did?? I know the kart boys had the same problems! Maybe it was just a "slow" time keeper!! Anyway, its done with now, so lets look forward to cadwell and hope it pours down!!
