npperk should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
They may use the laptimes in some way to help compare drivers, but you have to remember that the cars they are driving are being used for development work. The setups might be dictated by Williams for a reason (to test some part) and the cars may be running with different new parts for testing on different days. That could affect the times.

Even the two cars running on the same day may have different setups, parts and so on so comparisons may not be able to be drawn there. :confused: I think that FW and PH have been in this game long enough to know how to pick decent drivers, and they haven't done too badly over the years. I'm sure they have their method and I'm sure it will work for them.

I agree, but I have a feeling that Heidfeld is running out of opportunities. I'd give the drive to him.

Anyone who is unsure of Nick's abilities, have a look at his performances in lower formulae and, more importantly, look at some of Mark Hughes' comments on his Jordan performances.
