On the tangent but this topic: Is the name Wayne intended as a derogatory nickname?
I've gone for a controversial top eight: Kimi Raikkonen Michael Schumacher Juan Pablo Montoya Fernando Alonso Jenson Button Rubens Barrichello Jarno Trulli Mark Webber McLaren Ferrari Renault BAR Williams Toyota Red Bull Sauber |

I've followed Juan from F3000 onwards and must admit I never heard him referred to as Wayne......ever.
Must be a Yank thing, ay? |

OK, ok.
There have been complaints about this thread and rightly so IMHO. Basically there is a lot of content that is just getting in the way of discussing the point of the thread. This has been mentioned before too, by many! So lets get back to the topic in hand. Somethings can just be left to lie. In addition when responding to someone's predictions, it is not really necessary to quote the entire (long) list. Especially when the post is not far. So I'll get the ball rolling again in the next, I'll post it in the next post because this one is boring admin and the next one motorport. |

I think McLaren might just do it, but then in the end I had to plump for Ferrari. Mine could have ended up like k-b's, but, well I just thought "but". Last edited by Adam43; 17 Feb 2005 at 21:44. |

I have the same names, but in slightly different order because I think Williams will have a better season than McLaren. OTOH, we could have some surprises! Closer to home - you have Button 4th - do you think we'll see his first win this year? |

Yup... But I said it would be close... Could go either way. As for a win... we need to see if the BAR is up to the task.

This was really difficult as I'm of the view that it will a insanely close season for a lot of the places. Top 10 would have made my life so much easier... as it stands my picks probably put me on an even thinner branch than most.
driver1: Michael Schumacher driver2: Juan Pablo Montoya driver3: Mark Webber driver4: Kimi Raikkonen driver5: Takuma Sato driver6: Jenson Button driver7: Jarno Trulli driver8: Jacques Villeneuve team1: Ferrari team2: McLaren team3: BAR team4: Williams team5: Toyota team6: Renault team7: Sauber team8: Minardi I suspect Red Bull might beat Minardi but I had to pick them as I doubt noone else will. |

I'm still desperately trying to remember my list so I can post it! I'm probably well off the mark, but like Knowlesy, I don't care, bring on the F1! *Rummages around in her brain for her list some more*
