Well I see the over "mod" has been at work again , hope he is just as quick when somebody starts a speedway thread.

Can the Mongrel's run in Marque sports or are they destined to be a museum piece forever.

FF: I can appreciate where your coming from but it would be shame for them to be relegated to personal collections and museums.

They were only there as a sort of loan/lease arrangement.

And they must have been desperate for numbers if they let that Monaro into a Marque sports rase.

4. Engine
4.1 General: Engine capacity for reciprocating engines may be varied within the limits of the recognised or replacement block; save that the maximum permitted capacity of the engine is 6000cc.


So it seems that Nations Cup will end up going by the wayside and Marque sports will be the natural successor. Not a bad result, the Group 2B rule book makes more sense than anyhitng PROCAR ever wrote.

Unless they replace the engine in the Monaro with a 5.7L LS1 or an LS2 maybe.

GTR- Rob Sherrard's Monaro has only raced in AASA form. If you rocked up with a 25L capacity truck you'd probably be given a start

The only CAMS events it has done are sprints and a hillclimb.
