Ebb and flow of a race. The #1 has gained time on every stint since it's third stint and has lapped in 1'49.0 and 1'49.1 many times (on multiple stints too), something no other car has done.

Ok, I'll reawaken this thread. The Krohn Ferrari enters the garage... it looks terminal.

The suspension just broke on the #8. No contact, no tire rub, you can see it. Really terrible news for Toyota, and now the proverbial ball is in Audi's court.

#7 just spun... going for too much now it seems.
This is shaping up to be a very disappointing race for Toyota, not winning a race with such a speed advantage is really hard to swallow. |

The only good news for Toyota is that Fässler is now in the #1, it was Treluyer's insane speed that even got the Audi back to where it is now.

But it would be dissapointing for them to lose this after they had such a big "headstart". Edit: Agree, Acid, Fassler is not going nearly as fast as Benoit or even Lotterer were going. But can the #7 make it on one more stop? It'll be close, but I think they'll be a hair short. |

Fässler is still fast, and so is Lotterer, and if he gets back in he will have the right compound and cooler temps equaling more grip.
Toyota needs to be perfect for the rest of the race to salvage a win. Pretty sad, considering they could have had a sweep. |

If Audi tries to double-stint the tires to keep the lead and loses .8 seconds like Lotterer did, then Wurz will be able to stretch his fuel and catch the Audi----but will then have to pass the Audi with just a couple laps left.

Treluyer is ready to get in. So looks like they'd change tires on their last stop?
