The V8SC crew were operating in plastic tents... they wanted to be a bigger piece of the AGP show... so TC & friends arranged their own pitlane...

I thought it was interesting to see so many teams practicing pitstops across the weekend when the format doesnt really take advantage of them

I understand it is about stroking egos but is it a good use of the dollars spent?

A few extra Superscreens or even additional toilets would be money better spent IMHO.

The pitlane complex was kinda need when they had compulsory pitstops in the races as they had in the previous few years, however they are kind of pointless now.

Are the corporate areas above the pits used by the v8 teams or are they sold by the GP corp to whoever wants to pay for them ?

Given the pointlessness of the v8 races and the clear lack of people in the grandstands for them, I'd say something like the Stadium Trucks would be a far better use of money. As an added bonus they wouldn't need a pit either.

I thought V8SC owned it? A relic of a failed streetrace somewhere? Or its the same one used at Sydney?

I didn't mind the V8s over the weekend, and I'm not someone who thinks races are meaningless if they don't count for championship points (quite the opposite), but the races did lack abit of action, which seems to be attributed to the tyre allocation.

If they don't want to use extra tyres, maybe have one race less? Knock the V8 races back from 12 lappers to 10 or 8 lappers?

It was cool to see the V8 drivers and the pitlane much more accessible than usual, I saw Jason Bright just wandering round the GA area behind the F1 pits with his family on Sunday morning without too much bother.

I think Group C/A had the best place for a paddock, right amongst the punters behind the main grandstand, and they had plenty of people looking at the cars all weekend.

What did we think of the attitudes of drivers & some team owners over the weekend in regards to the rolling starts?

I was amazed (& appalled) that some painted rolling starts as some monster that couldnt be controlled - yet a bunch of amateur drivers in 30 year old cars managed 4 from 4 perfect rolling starts over the weekend.

The fact that V8SA bank a decent cheque from the event & then limit tyres for the weekend is pretty weak on their part.

Has there been any outcome of the investigation of the cars at the back of the race 4 grid jumping the start? There are only the stewards reports up to Saturday in the news section of the V8SC website.

Interesting that John Bowe mentioned the Prodrive cars having an open radio channel - it looked to me like Heimgartner went before the two Pepsi cars on the front row.
