He secured a title sponsor and a grid slot. I am pleasantly surprised and will root for them once more!

It would be fantastic if the likes of Vanwall and Glickenhus be able to compete, however I just can’t see them being given a fair BOP to be able to compete at the front.

To be honest who cares what the road cars look like, we will not be buying them and looking at some of the hideous cars sold by other manufacturers who will be racing at le mans is the vanwall any worse.

Well, if Kolles just bought a number of Hyundais to rebrand them as Vanwall to get through the regulations, then it is quite interesting.

Can we then say Hyundai has FINALLY fulfilled the claims and is "involved" in endurance racing properly??

I think VW don't really care at this time, although I doubt they would want to be associated with this team either

It also calls into question the ACO's approval process - surely they would have only granted an entry if they were reasonably confident of the trademark being resolved in Kolles' favour?

It depends on two things - what was said in the entry dossier - and what does "Subject to Homologation" on the entry list cover?

My bet is they'll run "under appeal" and then get their steering wheels seized again at Le Mans.

I was really looking forward to seeing this car @ Sebring (and I still might) but realistically there's only a small chance that will happen despite the combative talk from team management. |
