The 911 GTLM has only one exhaust pipe (each pipe from each cylinder bank combined into a single exit)?

Woohoo it's time for pre-season testing! For some reason always get very excited about these things. Do #2 and #60 Ligiers have different engines? I haven't followed that closely for while.

Same 3.5 HPD lump. Bigger than last year. ESM is switching to Nissan after Sebring though.

I saw video at the track a guy got of the Stroll crash. He was in a pack and spun the tires and overcorrected right into the guardrail. Luckily didn't take out anyone else.

They had that same exhaust setup last year at Daytona. I am not sure why they do it. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that during the Grand-Am days all the Porsche Cup Cars essentially had one massive oval pipe come out the back, those GA Porsches cars were also exponentially noisier than a normal Porsche Cup Car too.

I am regarding the Corvette catching fire-according to DSC there was a fire in their garage also. Wtf... I'm no fan of Stroll but it was his first lap in a hillbilly prototype which would be unlike anything he's raced before so cut him some slack....for the mean time. Hope BAR1 gets sorted out and Eversly gets a ride- if not we could always have a Dinner with Racers special at Daytona lol |
