Chocolate Powered F3 Car
Having checked it is NOT 1st April again, I was surprised to hear reports of a chocolate powered F3 car on the radio today - can't wait to see it in Autosport! Apparently, it is just as fast but, alas, they are not allowed to run it in a proper race.
Three things spring to mind: 1) No need for extinguishers - just make sure you've got a lady marshal around to sort out (eat) any fuel spillages 2) Will they dish out freebie marshmallows? 3) As it was designed and built by the University of Warwick - is there any chance of getting it brought along to the Formula Student event? (Pete H, over to you........) |

Shelagh, it's just been on Midlands Today. Not only does it use chocolate but yummy vegetables like carrots, too!
It looks like any other F3, but parts of it are made from "unusual" components. The steering wheel was made from carrots, and the fuel was part oil from chocolate (so sorry, ladies, you can't eat it). Wonder what it will smell like if it catches fire? |

Sponsors of BF3 - Daily Mirror video of Choc powered car
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-w...5875-21334515/ States the car can do 145mph but watching this footage I'm not sure if it means with a choc powered unit! |

It looks a bit "tattie" but I heard it has an "aero" advantage over other cars and it's leading "veg" technology makes it "kinder" to its tyres and because of this its "bounty" win races.
With all the carrots does that mean it can do 24hrs without headlights? |

Observers dont do sweeping (Touchpaper lit, stand well back)
You can imagine the written reports - Driver hit "boost" button and the car got out of shape going into "club" causing the back end to "breakaway", the car then done a "twirl", went "curly wurly" and impacted with tyre wall causing the car to "rolo". Will chocolate cars result in more extractions taking place? Last edited by pauwilson; 5 May 2009 at 19:48. Reason: Thick as sh!t and cant spell |
