33 today! - Happy birthday Mr Rosset.
It's Ricardo Rosset's birthday today. The man who couldn't get under that 107% rule several times in his Tyrrell in '98 has reached the grand old age of 33. Please join me in wishing the Brazilian a very happy birthday.

What is it with the name "Ricardo" and being incapable of driving an F1 car?
Happy Birthday, mate! You were the best entertainment F1 has ever had. |

There are many ways to be famous, and be forever remembered.
And that's one of them. Happy birthday. |

It's always nice to remember the man who was beaten in qualifying 16-0 by Jos Verstappen in 1996......

Ricardo Rosset has one consolation.
He has been driving a Formula One car and we haven't. Think about that! Feliz Aniversário, Ricardo. |

excellent gerard ..totally excellent.
I will make a cooment though about his driving..ok so he wasnt that good in Formula One ..he rarely showed that he could keep pace with his teammates and basically wasnt good enough ...but his career in the lower classes was very good..he was very quick in F3 and won races and he also finished 2nd in the 1995 F3000 championship...so going on that he definately had some talent but it just never came to the fore in F1...but then as gerard stated at least he got there and has raced in Formula One...well done and Happy Birthday Ricardo. |

Gerard, Marcus, you both raised very valid points. Indeed, he was brilliant in F3000 - maybe Arrows never gave him a fair chance? The Tyrrell and Lola were both rubbish cars, so he hardly had a chance at impressing people.
By the way, anyone have any idea what he does now? Apparently he turned down an Indy lights drive in 1999, his reasoning being that it was too dangerous. |

I seem to remember someone named Ricardo Patrese doing pretty well for himself. (Ask Mario who he is, for one!)
But happy birthday Mr. Rosset and I hope your sporting goods business is prospering. And you were right about Jacques, too. |

Happy birthday to him. We remember him as someone who didn't really shine (ahem) in F1, but he has driven an F1 car and we haven't. Very true Gerard. And he was good in the lower classes as Marcus said too. Well worth remembering.
