Historic Formula Ford have 48 cars entered......
We go into the last race at Silverstone with nearly 50 entrants... and we are going to fit them all in. 2 qualis and top & bottom of each quali race each other plus some! A mini Walter Hayes for historics no less. Come and join us. Room for 20 more! We have a format that we hope will work and fit all who enter and if it does we'll use it at some of our popular events next year. Anyone thinking of joining us is welcome to more information or see us at one of the winter shows. |

I am really impressed by the FF entry. Well done ! The Historic Road Sports entry is, ahem, more modest at 20+ but good for us at the end of the season. My Chev Camaro is in 'Class A' which is blessed by five other competitors ... about the most this year.
Forecast is dry all day, overcast and 11C ('feels like 8C') according to the Met Office. That's more like Silverstone in the Summer. As Rudernst says, the end-of-term feeling - last chance to meet some of the HRS regulars before April 2016 .... Nick |

I'll be there for much of the day with my box-brownie trying to get some decent snaps.

You've got the Jag F type R as a safety/pace car

Chigley, we hope you watch our races without starting your 'F' type...
Have a good day. |

Some excellent racing today.
A tad chilly on the Luffield terrace and it was a good job the cars in the final race had headlights. |

The HFF "Final" seemed to have extraordinarily close finished for first and second and then third and fourth.
The result as first published seemed to suggest a deadheat for first and second. Presumably some events earlier in the day led to the reduced race times? |

The second qually race red flag involved removing 6 broken cars and then treating the track for spillages at Brooklands. The stoppage in the final was out of my sight but took as long to clear up. Great work by the marshals and recovery crews. |

One wonders what antics the players will get up to during the WHT. Still, good revision course for the marshals I assume, presuming no participants were (seriously) hurt in the process. |

Safety car was needed and it was not helped by the falling light conditions making the safety car boards difficult to pick out. May be a case for illuminated boards in the future. Also a larger set of flashing lights on the safety car would have been be useful. I'm not bitter really as I had a good race. |

Well I think it's very generous of you to put your P&J on the line like that Ian.

That really is 'above and beyond' and shows why this is such a great sport.

Although, considering we just received the October 2015 issue today, and they're promoting JHC race in Nurburgring and Oulton Park which happened in August, they'll probably leave it until once the season's started again.
