Pretty food field really abd those new Audi's are nice. Think Clearwater is still the team to beat. Will be flying in tomorrow for an unrelated test after the even but hope to catch the Sunday action.

Sepang 12 Hours
Was reading the sportscar365 interview with the promoter of the Abu Dhabi 12hr who was talking about the clash with Sepang. Probably not the best attitude to the situation. Where's the Bentley and Audi factory squads? Oh wait they're in Malaysia....

He'll just throw some more money at it next year and that should fix it.

No that I want to defend the Abu Boring Something Hours or it's greedy promoters, but around this date used to be their slot, whereas Ratel moved Sepang from late summer to RIGHT here on purpose.

Just caught up with the highlights on Motors TV while I was ironing. The current SC has bunched the three Audis together at the front.
Edit - Another red flag, the mix of darkness and large patches of standing water has apparently proven too much for the drivers. Last edited by J Jay; 12 Dec 2015 at 12:01. |

Living and learning...... I didn't know it could rain for such prolonged time in Equatorial regions like Malaysia. I always thought the rains consisted only of the typical downpurs between 4-6pm

Second place #150 WRT Audi spent a minute in the pits not being able to start. Still under SC but a lot of track position lost.
Edit - Back to green. Winkelhock seems resigned to losing the race as the Phoenix car pitted a lap after the WRTs. Then again, when you're racing against someone who can pull 3 seconds on Nicky Thiim on the first green lap ... welcome back Laurens Vanthoor! Last edited by J Jay; 12 Dec 2015 at 14:18. |

Well that was an odd choice - #17 pits for fuel and tyres, #150 keeps the wets on.
Mies now leads, with Vanthoor 12 seconds behind but on a fresh set of rubber. |

Autosport web reports the rumor that at least two Japanese team (one SGT/GT300 team, one Super Taikyu team) will participate in the Sepang 12h race.
http://www.as-web.jp/supergt/29899 Yokohama became official tyre supplier for the race. So that SGT team will be Yokohama tire user. http://www.dailysportscar.com/2016/0...-12-hours.html |
