2017 WTCC Race of Morocco
2017 season finally starts this weekend
Race preview: https://www.fiawtcc.com/race-preview...-in-marrakech/ Track facts: https://www.fiawtcc.com/event/wtcc-race-of-morocco/ Should be the most unpredictable season in the last 7 years. Would have been even better with Rob being in a Honda and not in a Citroen Expect a pretty good weekend from Honda here though. I wonder what's with the compensation weight for this round - were Citroen given ballast, like last year |

unpredictable doesn't have to be postive... we can be happy if we see all rounds take place this year. less than a week before the first race and there's only 15 drivers confirmed...
expect Huff too be strong all weekend like last year with the Honda. wonder how good Guerrieri will be after his debut last year. |

This season starts so good without having qualis on Eurosport, neither 1 nor 2. That's great.

Despicable show. Or Tiago Monteiro improved a lot in the Winter or the drivers level in WTCC is just above the c***.
I can't understand why Honda picked up a retired samurai to drive the third car. |

Japan covers the lack of sponsorship for the third car. But there is plenty of younger and eager samurais in Japan.
Luckily the things that have been slowly simmering always taste the most satisfying. Bon appetit. |

The only possible show we'll get will be in the Opening Race, since there's enought time difference between the top drivers and the (small) rest of the grid. Maybe we'll see some overtakes from that. Seeing Marrakech track for the first time with my eyes, I confirm it's a tight and twisty track, I honestly don't understand where anyone can hope to overtake No way at the end of the starting straight or before the chicane. Then a "long" straight, but with a no-strong-enough breaking before a left bend. The only hope is the left after the final straight, but not easy Simply Castrol pays only for two cars (Monteiro and Michelisz), so Honda had to support with budget the third one of Huff in 2016. Becouse of that, they wanted to pay at least for their own driver instead of a British one, but in MAC3 today we saw the result. Jas Motorsport tryed to put Michigami in the middle, but the difference was evident between the japanese and the other two. |

So, uhh, I'm getting soccer on Eurosport 2 when it's supposed to be WTCC. As usual the worthless Eurosport website has no mention of why - anyone else with any info on what's going on?

I just cannot handle it when Matt Neal in the UK commentary calls Thed Björk, 'Bjorg'. Two years on the bounce now, ignorant.

Same goes for "front sector". He's been around racing for long enough that he should know what the terminology is. But he's an expert at talking out of his backside.
