Think you mean Sarah Fisher who is still looking for sponsorship to continue in IRL this season.Sarah Kavanagh is looking at F3000,Amanda Whitaker some sports car series.Money seems to be very short this year and in the USA women seem to be getting dumped first-even series champions!

(Sarah Iknew I'd got her name wrong #*;#*)look's like the guy's won't back the gall's which is a shame.they deserve thier chance just like the guy's(if they're good enough)that's what happen's when a sport a dominated by men.I belive every racing driver should get a equal chance but I don't think that happen's in my opinion.

there is defenatley some talented women drivers about, but my favourite was Kirstern Kolby. Does anyone know what she is up to now as the last I heard was she was a commentator in Denmark.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but does anyone else think that Sarah Kavanagh is somewhat overrated? I've seen her drive a few times and whilst she isn't dire, there are a few other Irish female drivers that I would have a greater admiration for. I know Denise Ryan was racing in the UK last year - did any of you get a chance to see her race?

Incidentally, Ms. Kavanagh was last seen selling off her EuroBOSS in the classifieds in Autosport...

Sarah K. was also featured in a recent Aer Lingus in-flight magazine. In it she goes on about not getting to drive in F1 when she can clearly drive one. Fair play, I'm sure she CAN drive an F1 car. I know a few other people that can drive one, and I'm sure given a bit of practise I could drive one. Whether I'm FAST or COMPETITIVE is another story.

Just can't wait to get her in my gravel trap though, she looks like a bit of a babe!

(Oh, and I DID NOT make Jennifer Daniel cry! She was crying when I got to the car!)

oh really? Is that so? Well if you want to hook up with Ms. Kavanagh I won't get in your way.

I'm SO sure she's going to make you rasher sandwiches just the way you like them...

Aparently no takers so she's keeping it for practice.May end up racing it if no better(F3000)offers materialise. Can't really comment on Irish one make saloon drivers,so IMHO Sarah is the best Irish female driver since Fay Taylour in 1934.

I can advise that natalie Imbruglia was a brilliant agressive driver in 1999 at Albert Park until she had a little accident involving a wall and what is now a somewhat smaller BMW Z3. Don't know if she has done any more races though

I didn't know that Fay was Irish, I thought she was from UK. Do you know what area she was from?

Fay was born in Birr and spent some years in Cavan before moving to Dublin. From 'Green Dust' by Brendan Lynch.

A lot of unlikely race drivers have taken part in those celeb races. At the first one in Adelade was Elle Macpherson and Clive James who had not learned to drive when invited! Back in the 70s one Divina Galica,a skier, was invited to one at Brands Hatch and liked it so much she went racing full time.

Danica Patrick was not bad in the winter FF two years ago,
and Babs Armstrong was a consistent racer in the Porsche super cup last year.
The MGF cup a few seasons ago, Suzie H Banks ( i think ), she could hold her own too, lucky girl...

Thought about this, and in no particular order I'd say, Ellen Lohr, Lella Lombardi and Cathy Muller (Yvan's big sister) are the best I've seen.

imull has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Does David Coulthard count?

Do they still run the Woman GP at Monaco. This was a support race for the GP (I think) that my mother did a couple of times. she enjoyed it but I havent heard of it since, that I can remember

What about Claudia Huertgen? She used to drive the Roock Porsche 911GT2 in the BPR series...She was good too. There aws another woman driver there too, Lilian Bryner. And there is Milka Duno driving a Panoz at LeMans this year I believe
