God rolls with JPM this year. It's too bad the FIA and Ferrari won't let them win. Even the big guy has no pull with the FIA. LOLOLOL

Luckiest person in all that was Takuma Sato. The fact he didn't suffer any major injuries was a miracle.

"He oughta buy himself a lottery ticket." I am a JPM supporter and I must say this was the high point of his race. He would not have had time to react to this. From the film, you'd swear that JPM would be collected everytime they showed it again. Phew!!

JPM is a lucky boy. Sato is even luckier to basically suffer no injuries while Nick also got away with just shock at the incident. Nice to see genuine concern for another drivers well-being, particularly when he caused it!
Good to see all drivers are safe and well. |

Yes. The one blessing of the race today is that everyone survived it.

I just watched the replay on Speed-I knew it was close, but that photo is amazing...inches for Montoya.

That is a superb and startling image. I'm so glad that Sato is well, else it'd have a lot of further visual impact...
When one considers that JPM was moving forward at what, 60kph at that point? the fact that Heidfeld collected Sato's and moved it sideways and *still* cleared JPM's car becomes all the more remarkable. *Great* screen capture, Speed -- thanks! |

gracias sr. rapido, that is a view that we didn't see on the tube and while it shows how lucky jpm was, I wasn't aware from the footage that I saw that the Sauber went in backwards (all the more scarey for the transmissions and engine mass hitting first.)
this plus the other posted still of the moment of impact just makes me appreciate more the luck of it all, ie no serious injury. |

Nice to see you´re practicing your Spanish !!!
And you´re right, is something we didn´t see on TV. Same as the team-order´s paper coming from Mr. Todt ! |

Indeed. Sato was quite lucky.....but man.....montoya must be making someone up there very happy because it doesn't get any closer than that.

Montoya's a lucky bunny. Sato is desperately unlucky. Heidfeld - does seem to have trouble with his car control - thats twice this season he's taken to the grass after losing the car under breaking - but this one looks like it may have been a brake problem so either way you cant blame Heidfeld.
Both him and especially Sato are damn lucky. Kudos to the safety measures - such an impact would have been far more dangerous a few years back. |
