Looking forward to hearing about this...
Is your Team A.I.M. affiliated in any way with the AIM Autosport that Andrew drives for? |

Thanks for the valuable info. Yes TEAMA.I.M. is affiliated with AIM Autosport, it is a new not-for-profit company designed to fund young Canadian drivers and engineers.

Is the lone "Ranger" contracted to Manor to act as tail gunner for Hamilton this weekend.

I notice Motorworld seem to have improved their setup with Spencer only being 0.093 off Hamilton!

Sisley is no longer with the series apparently
Motaworld's setup does not seem to have worked, with Lloyd 7th, Susie 10th and Meneghello 20th. Spencer stayed with the old setup - a smart move it seems, because they are not on the GP circuit and therefore no hairpins. |

A great shame about Sisley being out of the series - I was really looking forward to a three-way fight for second in the championship.
As for the other standings - Lewis still fastest, then Spencer 2nd - yep, fair enough, he was ridiculously fast last time they were at Donington, pulling out the two best drives of the year after problems in qualifying. Actually, Spencer could give Lewis a run for his money this weekend. Part of me says Lewis would settle for 2nd and wrapping things up, but another part of me says he's a proper racer, and likes his current four-consecutive-maximum-scores statistic, and that he'd rather like to increase it. Well done to the Swedish duo, Storckenfeldt & Soderberg, next up in 3rd & 4th - good performances from them. I've got a feeling things aren't going to be the same at the front tomorrow, but still think that it's Spencer that could be Hamilton's closest challenger. |

well I don't think he's done too badly so far given his lack of experience and a much much deeper field than Fran-Am. I think give 'em a bit more practice and he'd be a front-runner.

Donington is not the same track when it's not the GP track, so the 4/10ths advantage previously enjoyed by Lewis should not come to pass. So now it's just a straightforward fast track, slowest bit being the 3rd gear final "chicane". At this sort of track, like Thruxton, is where we see Storkenfeld and Soderberg's cars performing well. The track seemed pretty grippy today.
Not wholly sure about Spencer today. He did that one lap today which was 7/10ths quicker than any other lap he managed, if you look at the mstworld data - nothing else came close. How? Why? Odd. If that was qualifying, he'd be a long way down the grid for race 2!!! As to Ranger, well he was expected to be pretty quick, given his Fran-Am results, but I don't think too many people were surprised that he wasn't in the top 6 or 8. 14th was maybe a bit further back than expected. Weather supposed to be dry tomorrow for qualifying, dry for race on Sat but chance of rain on Sun. WX reports are notoriously inaccurate though |

I know that this field may be a little bit more competitive,
but not by much.Lets not forget who Andrew is beating in fran am :Robert bell ,your U.K.renault two time winter series champion, charles hall, f. renault race winner and f3 race winner, not to mention other top names in fran am, which is almost ,if not as competitive as british renault. Dont count out ranger yet ,this is his first time at donnington, you will be suprised tommorow. |

I don't think anyone has counted Ranger out, he comes heavily hyped. It wouldn't be a complete surprise if he was inside the top 10 today. He has the best car - certainly at Donington - and the setup and driving data from the fastest guy there, so there should be no excuse!
