The premiere of the Touringcar series Superstars has been postponed until 2002. Though, 32 Teams from six countries (Italy, Germany, UK France, Spain and Portugal) have expressed an interest in participating in the series!

Things are becoming clearer now
While I like the Superstars concept, this announcement is not really a surprise at this point.
ESTC seems to have something viable. Are they really looking at adopting the new BTCC rules? Do the cars have to be smaller? Can't we see the same mid-size, 4 door cars only with 270hp? If ESTC is smart, they will show Honda,Ford,BMW and Audi that the current style cars can have a home in their series. I drive an SVT Contour.(Mondeo ST-200) The car was bought partially to support Fords touring car involvement. This is the size of car that most touring car fans want to see IMO. Shadow |
