Hangang Park announced
Fellows,
The website e-Tracks presents in this article the lay-out of Hangang Park, the track in South Korea that is scheduled to host a Champ Car race on October 17th. The report at e-Tracks mentions that the track is on the banks of River Hang and is located close to a stadium used in the 2004 soccer World Cup. This is in agreement with Paul Gentilozzi had announced at the Champ Car launch in Long Beach last week. Interestingly, e-Tracks - citing Autoracing1.com as a source - states that KMC (Korea Motorsports Center), the Korean race promoter, would have signed a contract with Champ car until "at least" 2008. Cheers, Muzza |

Thanks for the link Muzza
Looks rather interesting, although it's hard to know what it's really like until we get to see some actual racing there. Last edited by rustyfan; 15 Mar 2004 at 08:02. |

Looks like it's a pretty good layout and there's atleast one point for passing (probably). A lot of the recent circuits have been very short like this one. I think it would be more interesting to have the road/street tracks a little longer eg. >2 miles.

From what I could see, it looks like a good track. I would have to agree that I would prefer they extend it to 2.0 miles. I sure hope everything comes together and we have the race. That could be a great market.

At least three "heavy-braking" points leading to 90degree corners. I'm curious as to the width of the track in these spots. And, will it be a "concrete-canyon", or more of a road course with runoffs?
