Worst bike to win a world championship race?
I remember the Bimota in WSB in 2000 that won at Phillip Island in the wet was a real pig of a bike, the team even went bust after Hockenheim due to lack of results and funds.

Did the Italjet GP bike ever win, I don't think it did!
Also I am glad the Campetella bikes have never won a race thanks to their different if a little colourful scheme. What about the Harley V1000, did that ever win a race, great idea, shame they forgot how to style it! Fair play though htink Goey's Bimota has to be the biggest pile of rubbish to ever win a race! |

Actually, when Lawson won on the Cagiva, was that in the wet and mainly decided by Lawsons tyre choice?
Does anyone even remember? I have a vague memory of something like that, sometime around then. |

COuld never say the Cagiva was the worst bike as they always looked gorgeous.
No, Lawson won in Hungary in 92 on the brand new big bang Cagiva. He and Dunlop went for a right hit or miss deal on intermediate Dunnies on a damp surface, he led into turn on and then went backwards, but after a few laps started picking a few off and got past Doug Chandler with a couple of laps left to win the race, superb riding when you consider how wet the track was at the start, total genius if you ask me |
